Onida Imogene (Scott) Tennant was born April 15, 1927 to
David and Effie Scott. She went to be with the Lord
on September 11, 2016 at the age of 89. She was a
long time resident of the Oglesby Community.
BARTLESVILLE, WASHINGTON CO, OK
Graveside Services for Mrs. Tennant will be held at
2:00 P.M. on Friday at the Oglesby Cemetery, with
Rev. Charlie Cunningham of the Oglesby Wesleyan
Church officiating. Interment will be in the Oglesby
Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral
Home & Crematory.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Mrs. Tennant's
memory to the Oglesby Volunteer Fire Department c/o
Rick Rust 401841 W. 2700 Road Ramona, OK. 74061.
Onida was a devoted wife, mother, sister,
grandmother, aunt, great grandmother and friend to
many. She was an excellent cook with mashed potatoes
and chicken and noodles at the top of the list. Oh!
don't forget the pies, cherry and pumpkin. She was
always there to help family, friends and community.
She always put the Oglesby Fire Department first
with dinners and socials. Onida worked during WWII
at Tulsa McDonnell Douglas building B17 aircraft and
Tinker Airforce Base in Oklahoma City. Onida married
Raymond Tennant in Borger, Texas, but made their
home in Oglesby. She retired from Phillips Petroleum
Company. She will be truly missed by all.
Onida is survived by her four children, Gilda Reese
of Mustang, Oklahoma, Anita and Robert Haymaker,
Raymond and Nancy Tennant and Jerry and Sharon
Tennant; two sisters Leona Pickett of Bartlesville
and Dorlia and Marvin Faulkner of the Oglesby area.
Many grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many

W. Tennant, parents David and Effie Scott, one
brother David Leon Scott and Two sisters Sybil
Raymer and Alta Crouch.
