Kaden Lane Minor “Kade” of Ochelata, Oklahoma, departed this life at home on March 26, 2017, surrounded by his family and in his mom and dad’s loving arms. He was born November 25, 2008 to Dustin and Kristie Minor, and he was a big brother to Harper Kate Minor. He was a second grader at Caney Valley Elementary in Ochelata.

Kade’s young age would make his life seem too short to many, but those who knew him know that he had an old soul and was wise beyond his years. He never met a stranger, and he always had a great tale to tell. Kade loved being outside. His favorite things were playing with his sis, riding horses with his cousin Trent, showing animals in the local county shows, hunting with the boys, and building anything and everything, especially Legos, with his Pawpaw.

Kade’s full-of-life personality made him impossible to forget, and he will remain in our hearts forever. It is a privilege to have had him in our life, even if for just a short time, and an honor to carry on his memory for the rest of our days.

Kade is survived by his mom, dad and sister; his grandparents Bill and Brenda Minor, Lewis and Donna Metcalf, Jeff and BeLindia Fogle, and Richard and Teri Woodward; his great-grandparents, Larry and Carolyn Minor, Joe Mabry, Kenny and Arva Dingman, Ken and Phyllis Walker, Lee and Mary Chew, Betty Woodward, and Shirley Fogle; his uncles and aunts Zack Minor, Travis and Robin Griggs, Walker and Brandy Robles, and Blake and Bridget Fogle; his cousins Trent Griggs and Levi and Caroline Robles; and countless extended family and friends, including some of his favorite girls like Laney Eden, Jaci Sumner, Lani Sumner, Caitlyn Sumner, Chelsea Sumner, Olivia Rainey, and many, many others.

Kade was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Barbara Mabry and Billy Woodward, and his cousin Byron Chew.

A viewing will be held Thursday March 30, 2017, from 6-8 pm at Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. The funeral will be held Friday March 31, 2017 at 2 pm in the Caney Valley High School gym, Ramona, Oklahoma, with a burial service immediately following at the Ochelata Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that you make donations to the Kade Minor 4-H and FFA Scholarship Fund at American Bank of Oklahoma, 199 Caney Valley Place, Ramona, Oklahoma 74061.
