Billy Neal "Bill" Hoerning

Hoerning, Billy Neal "Bill", age 85, of Dewey, Oklahoma, passed away, April 4, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born on July 8, 1940, in Borger, Texas, and was raised in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He completed his early education in the area and graduated from College High School in 1958. Bill later enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving with distinction from 1962-1968 with assignments at Camp Lejeune, Marine Barracks in Key West, Florida, and active combat during the Vietnam conflict.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn, of the home and daughter, Stacey Copeland (Brian) of Bartlesville, OK.

A graveside ceremony with Marine Corps honors will be held privately at the Ochelata cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Bill and Carolyn's nephew and niece, Mark W. and Ern B. Riley, of Walker Funeral and Cremation Services in Shawnee, OK.
