Zella "Deanna" Haynie
October 16, 1941 - December 17, 2025

Zella Deanna Haynie, lovingly known as Deanna, passed away on December 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to family. She was born on October 16, 1941, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to Zella and Kenneth Bolen.

At just 17 years old, Deanna married the love of her life and best friend on January 17, 1959. Their marriage was a true partnership - one marked by deep affection, loyalty, and shared adventure. They were happily married for more than 35 years, until his passing, a loss Deanna carried with quiet grace.

Deanna lived a life shaped by hard work and resilience. For over 11 years, she traveled across the United States pipelining, embracing the challenges and experiences of life on the road. She and her husband eventually settled in Odessa, Texas, later moving to Bayfield, Colorado, and then to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. In 1969, together they founded an oil and gas-based business, Duane Haynie Inc. (DHI), a testament to their entrepreneurial spirit and teamwork.

The couple later made their home in the Houston area, where they remained until her husband's death. Following that loss, Deanna moved to Oklahoma to be closer to her beloved mother, continuing her lifelong commitment to family.

Deanna was a devoted mother to three children: Dale Haynie and his wife Wendy, Dean Haynie, and DeeLynn Knight and her husband Chris. She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren and cherished her five great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

Those who knew Deanna will remember her as a strong, determined woman with a generous heart, unwavering loyalty, and deep love for her family. Her life was one of dedication - to her husband, her children, and the many places and people she encountered along the way.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, at 2:00 PM at the cemetery in Ochelata, Oklahoma.

Deanna's memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her, and her legacy will continue through the generations she leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, we kindly request that you consider making a donation to your local hospice.
