Bill Thomas passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

William Edward Thomas was born May 13, 1927 near Valeda in Howard Township, Labette County, KS to Bayard Alanson and Alice (Livingston) Thomas. Bill, a WWII veteran, proudly served his country in the US Navy. He married Agnes Darlene Wiley on November 28, 1947. Working as a master design draftsman for Phillips Petroleum Company, Bill retired after 35 years of dedicated service. Bill and Darlene have been members of Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Bartlesville since 1952. Bill loved to compete and enjoyed boat racing along with refereeing micro midget race cars in his younger years. Bill was also a licensed pilot. One of his greatest passions was to design, build and fly radio controlled model airplanes. He flew and competed with radio control model airplanes around the world and was actively involved with model airplanes for over 50 years. He and Darlene loved to dance and were square dancers for much of their married life.

Bill is survived by his wife, Darlene Thomas of the home and son, Ralph Thomas of Verdigris, OK. He was blessed with five grandchildren; James, William, Andrew, Kristy and Michael along with six great grandchildren. Bill is also survived by his brother, Bob Thomas, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Dorothy Thomas, daughter, Connie Perdue, brother, Charles Thomas and step-sister, Margaret Stall.
