DAVIS FAMILY FUNERAL HOME
DEWEY, WASHINGTON CO, OK
(permission granted)

Lynn Sutherland Shook, 57, lifelong resident of Bartlesville, died Tuesday in Bartlesville.

Lynn was born the daughter of Claude H. and Mildred Evelyn (Dunkin) Sutherland in Bartlesville on Nov. 30, 1958. She was raised and educated in her hometown, graduating from College High in 1977. As a young Wild Cat, Lynn enjoyed sports especially softball and bowling. She was social and outgoing, and made friends easily wherever she went. She had a good sense of humor and was witty. Internally, Lynn showed strength of character, especially when dealing with her medical issues and the tragic loss of her two young sons.

Lynn loved her boys and was a good mother. They were never far from her thoughts and when it rained she imagined her boys were poking holes in the clouds. Her passions included reading, canning vegetables from the garden, and cooking which she excelled at.

Lynn is survived by two brothers, Stephen Sutherland and Cindy, Scott Sutherland and Stacy; five sisters, Claudia Sawyer, Susan Miller, Jeanne Platt and Roger, Sandra Gore and David, and Sharon Rigsby and Jim Miller; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sons Randall Lyn Lawrence and Dustin Wayne Lawrence and one brother David Sutherland.

Lynn’s family will receive friends at the Davis Family Funeral Home, 918-534-3030, 113 S. Osage (Hwy. 75), Dewey, on Saturday, February 13, 2016, from 3-5 p.m.

Remembrance services will be held 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, at the Davis Family Funeral Home Chapel. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home. Online condolences and remembrances may be shared with Lynn’s family at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com.
