Dr. Lacey Eugene Scoggins of Bartlesville was born May 7, 1932, in Stephens, Texas to William R. Scoggins and Irene Peggy (Wingo) Scoggins. Lacey graduated with his Bachelor of Science Degrees in Chemistry and Physics at Eastern New Mexico University then went on to receive his Masters and Doctorate Degrees at Texas A&M University. Lacey worked 35 years as a Research Chemist at Phillips 66 and received 43 patents in his lifetime. He was an active member of City Church and served as President of Gideons for 2 years. He enjoyed running, traveling, wood-working but most of all, Lacey loved God and his family.

Lacey entered Heaven on February 2, 2021, at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving Wife of 67 ½ years, Bea Scroggins; his two daughters, Emily Scroggins and Sue Ellen Downing; his 2 granddaughters, Rachel Metcalf-Jacoby and Jamie Kipps; His great-grandchildren, Elijah Metcalf, Brylee Simon, and Kadin Kipps; and many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, private family services will be held.
