STUMPFF FUNERAL HOME
BARTLESVILLE, WASHINGTON CO, OK
(permission granted)

Mildred "Dorothy" (Radke) Schnackenberg passed away on June 23,2022, in Tulsa, Ok. Born September 12, 1926, in Chelsea, OK, Mildred was the oldest child of Martin Radke and Frieda Doenning Radke. Growing up on the family farm was a hard life and Mildred and her four younger siblings all did chores to help make ends meet.

Mildred attended public school in Chelsea, graduating from high school before taking work as an in-home nanny, bank teller, and hairdresser in a local salon. She married local businessman Olaf Theodore "Bud" Schnackenberg on Easter Sunday, March 28, 1948. They made their home in Pryor, Oklahoma, where they welcomed three daughters, Phyllis, Marcia and Karen. In 1960 Bud took a job as a department store manager in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where they moved, raised their family, and became active members of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Mildred lived in the family home for 60 years until moving to The Parke Assisted Living facility in Tulsa in 2020.

The center of Mildred's life was her family and her church. She was involved in the children's school lives through PTA. She served in many roles at Redeemer Lutheran Church on committees, teaching Bible School and Sunday School, cooking for potlucks, weddings, funerals, and classes, volunteering for Braille, making quilts, and was a one-time delegate to the Lutheran Women's Missionary League convention. She worked as needed in the department store her husband managed, kept the home, was an excellent seamstress and outstanding cook, and enjoyed tending her rose garden.

Mildred was pre-deceased by her husband Bud, siblings Viola (Milton) Schulze, and Lorna (Martin) Goedecke. She is survived by her daughters Phyllis (Steve Miller) Marcia (Paul Mackey), and Karen (Brad Wagner), brother Arthur Radke, sister Naomi Radke, grandchildren Kurt (Adrienne) Mackey, Scott (Megan) Mackey, Keith Mackey, Elena Mackey, and Sarah Miller, and 7 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, at Redeemer Lutheran Church following a private grave-side service for the family. Mildred will be buried at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville, OK. Donations made be made in her memory to Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bartlesville, OK.
