Janice “Jann” Faye Brewer Reddell, 71, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2021, in Houston, Texas surrounded by many family members. After putting up a courageous fight over the past couple of years battling cancer several times and facing other health complications, Jann is now in a better place rejoined with family members she had missed dearly over time and free of the physical and mental challenges that came with these sicknesses.

Jann and her twin sister Ann were born August 29, 1949, in Morris, Oklahoma to G.T. and Dorothy Brewer. A 1967 graduate of College High School in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Jann married Patrick Reddell at the age of 19. Jann and Pat recently celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. Starting early in her childhood and extending well into her adult years, Jann was adventurous and always on the go living in many places, experiencing new things and making new friends and lasting memories. While she always considered Bartlesville to be her home and spent the later part of her life in Houston, she lived many other places as well including St. Croix, Alaska, California, Borger (Texas) and New Jersey. While Jann’s primary focus was always being a devoted wife, sister, mother and Mimi supporting her family members in whatever manner necessary, she previously co-owned Brewer’s Children’s Wear in Bartlesville with Ann and worked for her brother in-law Bobby when he was developing The CYLX Corporation business in Bartlesville. Jann was loved by everyone she met. She will be fondly remembered for being quick to make new friends in any situation and always being ready to help her friends and family members whenever possible. She loved being a twin and especially adored her grandchildren and watching them grow up and was very proud of their accomplishments. Keeping in touch with her extended family members and passing down family history was always a priority for Jann. Jann was always ready to go and up for her next trip by boat, plane or car whenever possible traveling to over 40 states and many European, Caribbean and South American countries. Dogs were always an important part of Jann’s life and there were many dogs who were fortunate enough to be cared for by Jann over time. It was always tough to get her out of the kitchen, as baking for friends and family members was one of her favorite pastimes. She also especially enjoyed watching old movies, gardening and nurturing her fruit trees and sharing her backyard with whatever wildlife wanted to stop by for a visit.

Jann is survived by many who will miss her dearly including her husband Pat of Missouri City, Texas; her daughter Dorie Reddell O’Shea and her husband Don of Missouri City; her son Ryan Reddell and his wife Dianna of Sumter, South Carolina; her four grandchildren Mason and Taylor O’Shea of Missouri City and Wyatt and Elene Reddell of Sumter; her brother in-law Bobby Lucas, Jr. of Bartlesville and her nephews Pheland and Rhett Lucas of Bartlesville; her sister in-law Pam Casey and her husband Robert of Fort Worth, Texas and her Texan nephews Jason, Justin and Jeff Casey; and her many great nieces, nephews and many cousins.

She is preceded in death by her mother Dorothy, her father G.T., her sister Ann and her brother Ken O’Daniel of Bartlesville.

Services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday June 30, 2021 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory
