J C Rhoades
March 3, 1933 - January 16, 2025
Broomfield, Colorado

J C Rhoades, age 91, died in Westminster, Colorado on January 16, 2025. He was born on March 3, 1933 in Jenks, Oklahoma to Alva and Stella Rhoades. J C moved to Bartlesville in 1951 and worked for Phillips Petroleum Company for more than 30 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army, stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia. He married Donna Truxal in 1952 and they shared a wonderful life together for 67 years until her passing in 2019.

J C was a great father and mentor to his children and was an active Assistant Scoutmaster for many years. The family travelled together in their camper throughout the United States. After their retirement, J C and Donna traveled extensively on cruises all over the world.

They were also very involved in church activities and he was a hospital volunteer for over 20 years.

J C is survived by his sister, Bonnie Calvert and brother, Randal Rhoades; three children, Roxanna Cummings, Bob Rhoades and Jay Rhoades; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren (with one on the way.) He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Alva and Jimmie.

Funeral services were held at Horan and McConaty in Thornton, Colorado on Thursday, January 23.

In addition, a Visitation will take place at Arnold Moore and Neekamp Funeral Home in Bartlesville, OK on January 29 from 6 to 8 pm with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery at 10 am, on Thursday. To leave an online condolence, visit www.honoringmemoriesbartlesville.com.
