Mrs. Adella Ester Schliesser Quattlebaum, a resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma went to heaven at her family residence Wednesday, November 24, 1999 at 9:20 p.m.

Services for Mrs. Quattlebaum were at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Walker-Brown Chapel, with Rev. Paul Rummage officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

Casket bearers included Roy G. Quattlebaum, David Shepherd, Tom Barclay, Kevin Lynch, Troy Shepherd and Andy Snyder.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church, 5111 SE Nowata Rd., Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74006.

Mrs. Quattlebaum was born February 23, 1906 in Defiance, Ohio to William and Fredia Hasemeier Schliesser.

She had two sisters, Mrs. Florence Brown of Elk City, Oklahoma; and Norena Ferguson of Moore, Oklahoma.

As a small child, her family moved to Texas, then later to Leedey, Oklahoma. Adella spent her early years in the Canadian community and attended the Canadian School.

On November 16, 1925 she married Herman Clifton Quattlebaum at her parent's home. Jack Welch performed the ceremony.

They established their home in the Leedey area where they spent many years farming until moving to Bartlesville in November of 1983. To this union one son, William Leon was born.

At an early age she became a member of the Baptist Church in which she remained faithful. She loved her church, family and home.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was kind and helpful to her friends and neighbors.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Herman; and parents, Fredia and William Schliesser.

Mrs. Quattlebaum is survived by her son, Leon; daughter-in-law, Odessa; three grandchildren and spouses, Billie and husband David Shepherd; Donna and husband Tom Braclay; and Roy and wife, Deborah Quattlebaum; four great grandchildren, Kevin Lynch, Lisa Lynch, Troy Shepherd and Tanya Schmidtlien; three great great grandchildren, Braydon, Dalton and Bristyn Schmidtlien; all of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration service to rejoice in Adella's "Going Home" was held at the Walker-Brown Funeral Home Chapel and interment was in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
