Jeff Phelan passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 surrounded by his loving family.
A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2012 in the Walker-Brown Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 Friday, December 21, 2012 at St. John Catholic Church with Father Festus Maliwa officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.
Jeffery Lee Phelan was born December 14, 1951 in Parsons, KS to William L. and Mary E. (Coomes) Phelan. Jeff married Elisabeth Blair in Miami, OK on October 9, 1982. Jeff enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball and in the late 1960's broke numerous national records in the breast stroke swimming for the Phillips Splash Club. Jeff worked at the Phillips Research Center for 19 years and continued his career for Fisher Scientific at the Research Center.
Jeff is survived by his wife Elisabeth "Betsy" Phelan of the home. One step-son, Dustin and wife Kim Smith of Bartlesville and step-daughter, Debbie and husband Tony Aguilar of Stillwater. One daughter, Jacqueline Phelan and son, Chad Phelan both of Bartlesville. Two brothers, Art and Kevin Phelan of Bartlesville and one sister, Lisa Ledo of Olathe, KS. He was blessed with six grandchildren; Kyra, Miranda, Quinton, Makenna, Maycee, and Ally along with numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Phelan.
