Kelly Michelle (Schwermer) Murphy, 37, of Bartlesville, died early Sunday morning, May 8, 2016 in an automobile accident.

Funeral services for Kelly will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, May 13, 2016 in the Christian Life Center of the East Cross United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Burress officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Friends who wish may sign the memorial register book at the Stumpff Funeral Home until 8 p.m. on Thursday and the casket will remain closed at all times.
Memorial funds have been established in Kelly's memory and those who wish may send their contributions to the Animal Rescue Foundation, 8011 S.E. Nowata Road, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74006 or to Washington County SPCA, 16620 State Highway 123, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74006 or to Martha's Task, 718 S. Johnstone Ave., Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74003.

Kelly was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on May 18, 1978 the daughter of Gary Michael and Cynthia Sue (Allen) Schwermer. She grew up in Bartlesville attending the East Cross United Methodist Church, Wesleyan Christian School thru 7th grade and then attended Madison Junior High, Bartlesville Mid-High, and Bartlesville High School from 1994 until her graduation in 1996. She was an active participant in the United Methodist Church groups and was a well decorated all around gymnast at the Phillips Gymnastics Club. She continued her education at the University of Oklahoma her freshman year, transferring to University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond graduating with a BA in 2000 and her MBA in 2001, Magnum cum Laude. Throughout her education she was constantly recognized each and every year on the President's Honor Roll. She was employed with Northwestern Mutual in Oklahoma City from 2001 to 2002 and from 2004 until 2016 as a senior analyst at ConocoPhillips in the Financial Services Organization until her death. Kelly was married to Kevin Myers Murphy on April 12, 2008 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and they have made their home in Bartlesville since that time. She was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, served on the board of Martha's Task, and was a regular volunteer for the Bartlesville Regional United Way. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Her beauty, grace, smile and infectious charm will be missed by all who loved her.

Kelly is survived by her husband, Kevin Myers Murphy of Bartlesville, three children, Addison Peck, 12, Emerson Murphy, 7, and Gracyn Murphy, age 6, all of Bartlesville, her parents, Gary and Cindy Schwermer of Bartlesville, a sister, Kristy Feeler (Quinton) and their children Kaden, Emery and Gavin of Bartlesville, She is also survived by her grandmothers, Phyllis Baker Wallace of Plano, Texas and Dorothy Schwermer of Bartlesville, her maternal grandfather, W.R. Allen (Carolyn) of Wasilla, Alaska, .

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Ted Schwermer.
