DAVIS FAMILY FUNERAL HOME
DEWEY, WASHINGTON CO, OK
(permission granted)

E. Lucille Fox-Mock, 97, died Monday in Dewey, the hometown where she was born, raised and eventually returned to, to be closer to her beloved daughter, sister and extended family.

Lucille was born the daughter of Edwin Floyd and Anna Marie (Lasure) Harrison on July 15, 1920, in Dewey, OK. She attended Dewey schools, graduating from Dewey High School with the class of 1939. She met and married the love of her life Charley Fox on Nov. 29, 1939, at Dewey First Christian Church. They made their home in Dewey for a few years before moving to Bartlesville, where Charley worked until he retired from Russ Rogers Chevrolet. Charley had his pilot’s license from a young age and taught both ground school and students to fly. Lucille and Charley would regularly fly with other groups of pilots to Wichita, KS, and Okla. City to have breakfast. Later in their marriage they took dance lessons and truly enjoyed one another and their well-matched partnership in the many dances they learned. After 31 years of loving marriage, Charley Fox passed in 1970.

A few short years later Lucille’s second Charley came into her life and she was united in marriage with Charley Mock on Nov. 2, 1974. She moved to his home in Wichita where he worked with Cessna. Once he retired they traveled extensively throughout the US, going everywhere except Alaska, oftentimes driving themselves and other times in tour groups with friends. Once again, after 31 years of loving marriage, Charley Mock preceded her in death, in 2002. Lucille continued to live in Wichita until 2005 when she returned home to Dewey to be closer to her family. Lucille loved to cook and she cooked with love. She was the best cook ever according to her family who especially enjoyed her homemade pies and chocolate sheet cake.

Lucille was dearly loved by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, two very special caregivers, and a host of other family and friends. Her second Charley never had children but his nieces and nephews sincerely loved her and visited her often in the years after his death.

Lucille is survived by her daughter Alice Ann Stokes and John of Bartlesville; one sister Dora Mae South of Bartlesville; three grandchildren Robyn Sumpter, Troy Stokes, and Kelly Stokes, three great grandchildren Amanda, Ashely, and Angelina, two great-great grandchildren Alexsis and Jocelyn, numerous nieces and nephews, and two very special caregivers Tiffany and Lisa.

She is preceded in death by her two beloved Charley’s, her parents, one daughter Sarah Nan Dobson, and two sisters Betty Marie Hamilton and Vivian Louise Rousseau.

Visitation will be held Thurs., June 7,from 12-5, and Fri., June 8, 9-8, at Davis Family Funeral Home, 918-534-3030, 113 S. Osage (Hwy. 75), Dewey. Lucille’s Family will receive friends at the Davis Family Funeral Home on Friday from 6-8. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Journey Home, 900 NE Washington BLVD, Bartlesville, OK 74006.

Funeral services will be held Sat., June 9, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the Davis Family Funeral Home Chapel. Chaplain JSue Wagoner will officiate.
