Mrs. Charlotte Ann Middleton, 87, of Bartlesville, died at 1:56 A.M. on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at The Journey Home in Bartlesville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Burress of the East Cross United Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Friends who wish may call for visitation at the Stumpff Funeral Home on Thursday from 9 AM until 8 PM and on Friday morning from 9 AM until 10:30 AM.

Mrs. Middleton was born December 12, 1931 in Amarillo, Texas to Nell and Charles Mathis. She and her family moved many times eventually graduating from high school in Russell, Kansas. She was a graduate of Texas Tech University and settled in Amarillo, Texas. It was there that she met and married James B. (Jim) Middleton. They started their family and were blessed with three children, Paul, Gail and Jan. After stops in Borger, Texas, Gallup, New Mexico, Amarillo, Texas and Denver, Colorado, the family settled in Bartlesville in 1971. Charlotte was a teacher and loved every minute of it. She was a substitute teacher before being an elementary teacher in the Dewey Public Schools, retiring in 1991. Charlotte enjoyed traveling with Jim, Bridge with her friends, and Sunday School at East Cross. Her biggest joy however was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Jim of the home, her children, Paul and Pat Middleton of Oklahoma City, Gail and John Spence and Jan Reynolds all of Bartlesville, her grandchildren, Kori and Jason Sauer, Will and Libby Spence, Matt and Erin Spence, Melissa and Grant Gingerich, Kelsey Reynolds, Ryan and Lauren Middleton, and Andrew Middleton , her great grandchildren, Carter Sauer, Jeff and Wade Spence, Ella and Georgia Gingerich, and Keira Coursey, one sister, Pat Amato of Dallas, Texas and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to The Journey Home, 900 N.E. Washington Blvd., Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74006 and to Comforting Hands Hospice, 1366 A S.E. Washington Blvd., Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74006.
