Houston - Betty Jane McKinney, age 90, died peacefully March 15th, 2021, at Houston, TX.

She was born January 27, 1931, near Okemah, OK, to Verner T. and Annie L. Watson Stockton. She attended Oklahoma schools graduating in 1948 at Barnsdall, OK and was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville, OK and Borger, TX. She was married to Oliver Franklin McKinney at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bartlesville, OK on July 21, 1951, and they made their home in Borger, TX; moving back to Bartlesville, OK in 1957. In 1998 they relocated to Brenham, TX where they were members of Grace Lutheran Church. In December 2018 they moved into assisted living in Houston.

She was preceded in death by her husband Oliver and daughter Mary Jane McKinney, sisters Macie Williams, Katie Hinkle, Rita Marak, Stella Thrower, Jocie Stockton and brother Ben Stockton.

Surviving are her daughter Carol Osborn and son-in-law Linn Osborn of Houston, TX, and grandsons Jason Osborn and Oliver Osborn of Houston.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham, TX.

Private graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, 4200 Nowata Road, Bartlesville, OK.

Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church and/or Lutheran Braille Workers Inc., Yucaipa, CA.
