Louella McAnelly
Lake Kiowa, TX -

A memorial service for Louella P. McAnelly, 102, of Lake Kiowa, TX, is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Gainesville, TX, with Dr. Jeff Langley officiating.

Inurnment at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville, OK will be scheduled for the near future.

Mrs. McAnelly passed away May 24, 2021 in Lake Kiowa. Louella was born February 5, 1919 in Ingalls, OK to Walter Benjamin and Minnie Myrtle (Sturgell) Wagner. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bartlesville, OK and First Baptist Church in Gainesville, TX. Mrs. McAnelly's biggest passion was gardening. Besides keeping a beautiful garden herself, she was also a member and officer of several gardening clubs and would travel the state of Oklahoma judging at flower shows. Mrs. McAnelly was also talented in jewelry making, bead work, needle work, wood carving, upholstery work, and enjoyed book reviews.

Survivors include: daughter, Patricia Ann (McAnelly) Morgan and husband, Richard of Lake Kiowa, TX; daughter-in-law, Susan McAnelly of Acampo, CA; grandchildren: David Morgan, Steven Morgan, Jim McAnelly, Lisa Lowrey, and Clinton McAnelly; ten great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandson, Koby Leach.

Mrs. McAnelly was preceded in death by: husband of 73 years, George C. McAnelly; son, George C. McAnelly, III; her parents; three sisters; and one brother.

Memorial contributions may be made to: The Salvation Army; First United Methodist Church of Bartlesville, OK; and First Baptist Church of Gainesville, TX.

George Clinton McAnelly, 94, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 11:30 p.m. in the Jane Phillips Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m.. Friday, July 15, 2011 at the First Methodist Church with Rev. Connie Taylor officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

George was born April 30, 1917 in Tulsa, OK to Earl Linden and Wanita (Johnson) McAnelly. George was a member of the National Honor Society in high school and continued his education at Oklahoma A&M College (OSU) graduating with a BS Degree in Civil Engineering. Honors included Phi Eta Sigma, Sigma Tau, Scabbard & Blade and Phi Kappa Phi. George served his country during WWII in the US Army Corps of Engineers as a Captain rising to the Executive Officer of his Battalion at the end of the war. George had over 33 years of dedicated service with Phillips Petroleum Co. working in the Engineering Test Division, Engineering Problems & Design, Director of General Control Division, Liaison with Subsidiary Companies, Manager of Projects & Construction and as a consultant & liaison before retiring on April 30, 1972. The McAnellys spent time during their retirement in Bella Vista, AR and Beacon Woods, FL before returning to Bartlesville in 1980. George was active in softball, bowling and golf in his younger years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Board of Directors at BOK Seniors, Senior Adult Bridge Club, Twentieth Century Class past president and Sunday School teacher. George had a zest for life, family and especially enjoyed telling jokes and one liners.

George is survived by his wife of 72 years, Louella Pearl (Wagner) McAnelly of the home. One daughter, Patricia Ann Morgan and husband Richard of Lake Kiowa, TX, daughter-in-law, Susan McAnelly of Stockton, CA, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one brother, Earl L. McAnelly, Mary McAnelly of Alaska, the mother of George Jr's children, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, George C. McAnelly, Jr, three sisters; Roma McAnelly, Juanita Ellerson and Kathleen Biddle Favor
