Earlene Bell Munro
July 27, 1931 - November 24, 2025

Earlene Bell Munro, 94, of Edmond, OK, formerly of Bartlesville, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025.

Earlene was born July 27, 1931, in Oklahoma City, OK, to Roy and Romayne (Bell) Cleaver. Earlene was raised in Edmond and graduated from Edmond High School in 1949.

She graduated from UCO, known then as Central State College, in 1953 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She was offered a teaching job in Bartlesville and moved there during the summer. Shortly after that time, she met Bradley, who was a chemical engineer for Phillips Petroleum. He had moved to Bartlesville from Montana. They were married on July 10, 1954.

Soon after marrying, they moved to Denver, CO, where Bradley would serve in the Army. Earlene taught elementary school on the military base. They moved back to Bartlesville for more than two years, then they were transferred to Borger, Texas, for approximately two years, and back to Bartlesville, where they lived until 2023. Earlene taught preschoolers or kindergarteners in Sunday School everywhere they lived. They attended Bartlesville First Baptist Church. Earlene wanted to share the love of Jesus to young children. She supported Bradley in his ministries and would help when she could. When their two children, Susan and Steven were born, she stayed home with them, nurturing, loving, and supporting them in their education and activities.

Earlene was a beautiful seamstress and enjoyed reading. Retirement brought new experiences, travel, and grandchildren.

Earlene is survived by her daughter, Susan Hamilton and her husband, Kenneth; son, Steven Munro and his wife Deborah; grandchildren, Adam Hamilton, David Hamilton, Lauren Hamilton, and Rebekah Munro, and step granddaughter, Bethany Griffin.

Visitation will be held from 12-5 on Sunday, November 30, and 9-1 on Monday, December 1, at Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory - Walker Brown Chapel, 4201 Nowata Road, Bartlesville, OK 74006, 918-333-7665.
