Arthur Lee "Art" Laughry

Arthur Lee "Art" Laughry, 87, resident of Bartlesville, died at 5:00 A.M., Friday in the Adams PARC.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday in the First Wesleyan Church with Pastor Joe Colaw officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Arthur Lee Laughry was born on October 21, 1925 at Canadian, Texas the son of Arthur Nelson and Ida Belle (Ballard) Laughry. He was raised in Texas and served in the US Army during WWII. He later served in the Texas National Guard. He graduated from Oklahoma A. & M. He married Clo Ellen Saunders on April 15, 1949. She preceded him in death in 1999. He had worked for the Phillips Petroleum Company for 34 years and retired as Manager of the Seismic Data Department. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and was attending the First Wesleyan Church.
Art is survived by two sons, David Laughry of Sugar Land, Texas and Richard "rick" Laughry of Alvin, Texas, one daughter, Janet Parrett of Bartlesville, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son James Craig Laughry, two brothers and three sisters.
