BARTLESVILLE, WASHINGTON CO, OK
(permission granted)
November 4, 1936 - December 13, 2025
Marilyn Ruth (Fowler) Jones passed away on December 13, 2025, at her home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Marilyn was born on November 4, 1936, in Albion, Oklahoma, to James Francis and Alta Gladys Fowler. She grew up in Seminole, Oklahoma, and later moved to the Ochelata/Bartlesville area, where she attended College High School and graduated in 1954.
On March 30, 1961, Marilyn married the love of her life, Eddie Jones. Together they shared a devoted marriage and were blessed with one son, Terry Edward Jones.
Marilyn was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company as an elevator operator from approximately 1957 to 1960. After the birth of her son, she dedicated herself to her family while also building a long and successful career selling Avon, a role she proudly held for more than 35 years.
A devoted Christian, Marilyn was an active and faithful member of her church throughout her life. She was a founding member of Town & County Christian Church, which later became Pathway Christian Church. Her faith was evident in her daily life, and she and Eddie faithfully prepared the weekly communion trays for the church for more than 40 years - an act of quiet service that reflected her deep commitment to God and her church family.
Marilyn is survived by her devoted husband, Eddie Jones, and their loving son, Terry Jones. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren: granddaughter Lindsey Blanke and her children, Averie and Jackson; and granddaughter Jessica Hawn and her husband, Garret Hawn, along with their children, Maci, Maddie, and Reagan Hawn.
She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Patricia Fowler, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, James and Alta Fowler; her brothers, Robert Fowler and George Fowler; and her sisters, Margaret J. Eddy and Helen Bruce.
Services are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
