Bartlesville - Marcia Ann Goode passed away January 17, in Bartlesville, OK at the age of 88, following a long illness.

Marcia was born in 1933 at her grandparents' home in Greenfield, OK. She attended Geary High School in Geary, OK, where she lettered in basketball and was an FFA Queen. She married Robert "Bob" Goode on September 23, 1950 in Oklahoma City. Marcia worked for Mid Continent Life Insurance in Oklahoma City, until the couple relocated to Bartlesville in 1952. She immediately began a career with Phillips Petroleum, working in the Treasury Department until the mid-1970s, when she resigned to stay at home with her children. In 1978, Marcia returned to the workforce for the Bartlesville Public Schools, retiring from their Transportation and Maintenance Department in 1986. Marcia enjoyed watching sports, camping, boating and square dancing. Some of her favorite times were spent gardening and hosting bridge club. She loved reading, painting, needlework, and traveling to the mountains of New Mexico and Colorado with Bob. Marcia was a member of Bartlesville East Cross United Methodist Church.

Marcia is survived by Bob, her husband of 70 years; their son, Richard and wife, Christie of Keller, TX; their daughter, Lori Goode May and husband, Tony of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Jessica and Clark Goode, adopted granddaughter, Kristin Tilley and husband, Ben, Dustin May, Tori May Leiszler and husband, Matt, and her sister, Patty Smith. She leaves behind five great-grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Freeman and Lorene Cooke.

Private services were held at Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bartlesville, OK. Friends and family are encouraged to share their condolences by signing a guest book at Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home in Bartlesville, from Tuesday afternoon through 5pm, Thursday, January 21st.
