Eugene Craighead passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017.

The family will be receiving friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9th at Spirit Church with Pastor Dr. Darryl Wootton officiating.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

Eugene Paul Craighead was born December 16, 1929 in Vici, OK to Rufus C. and Bessie (Collins) Craighead. Eugene started his career at Phillips Petroleum Co. at the age of 18 in the mailroom. He worked in many areas of the company and retired after 38 years of dedicated service as the Materials Control Supervisor. Eugene had a servant's heart. He loved God, his family and his church, Spirit Church. He helped in the church in numerous ways such as Sunday School Superintendant, youth sponsor, young married couple advisor, Adult Sunday School teacher and Deacon.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Linda Thurman Craighead, of the home, twin sister, Imogene Fuqua, age 87, brother, R.C. Craighead, age 90, and sister, Alberta Stroud, age 95. Eugene is also survived by his three children; Elaine Arnold and husband, Chuck, of Mustang, OK, Connie Standridge and husband, Randy, of Bartlesville, and Alan Craighead of Sugar Hill, GA and two step-daughters, Tonya Thurman and Melissa Thurman of Tulsa. He was blessed with eight grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; Rufus and Bessie Craighead, and his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Estes Craighead; also his sisters: Ora Lankford, Lorene Symes, Georgia Craighead, Lois Wellborn, Helen Harrison, Edith Davis; and his brothers: Raymond Craighead, Ralph Craighead, Rev. Charles Craighead and Rev. Bill Craighead.
