Jeanette Bolden passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016. The family will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016 at East Bartlesville Christian Church. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

Edith Jeanette Bolden was born March 23, 1939 at the family home north of Cherryvale, KS to Richard Dee and Orpha Mae (Hild) Wheatley. Jeanette graduated from McCune High School in McCune, KS in 1958. She married Barry Gene Bolden on June 25, 1961 in Cherryvale, KS. Jeanette worked as a secretary in McCune and Pittsburg, KS before moving to Bartlesville in 1964 where she was a homemaker raising their two sons. In 1976 she went back into the workforce as a secretary and other positions over the years at Highland Park Elementary and the Education Service Center. Jeanette spent the last 37 years working at Jane Phillips Elementary as a secretary and then volunteer. The students and staff there are her second family.

Jeanette is survived by her husband, Barry Gene Bolden of the family home. Two sons; James Richard Bolden and wife Patty of Columbus, KS, Charles Scott Bolden and wife Lynn of Bartlesville. Jeanette was blessed with three grandchildren; Aaron Overbey and wife Ashleigh of Johnstown, CO, Jennifer Calvert and husband Tony of Wichita, KS and Whitney Bolden of Topeka, KS along with four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Donna K. Riggs and husband Calvin of Chouteau, OK, sister-in-law, Marilyn Wheatley of Columbus, KS, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles Richard Wheatley.
