Lyndel "Lyn" Lea Ashlock, 78, of Dewey, died Friday, February 14, 2025, in Dewey.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Lyn Ashlock who danced her way into our loving fathers' arms on Valentines Day, 2025. Lyn was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on August 13, 1946, to Flora May and Lloyd Hartness. She graduated from Bartlesville College High Wildcats in 1964. Directly after high school graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, Calvin Ashlock. She went to work at age 18 for Phillips Petroleum Company as a secretary and left for a brief time to welcome her two daughters into the world, Kimberly Lyn Ashlock-Jellison, and Amy Annise Ashlock-Etter. Shortly after, she returned to Phillips 66 and was able to work in multiple departments acquiring multiple different skill sets. Phillips sent her to school to learn different trades and training, and around 2002, after 33 dedicated years, she retired from Phillips in the Legal Department. After retirement, she needed something to keep her busy, so she started working at Green Country Village of Bartlesville Ok, as the front desk clerk. She loved it there and enjoyed all the residents, many of them she knew from her career at Phillips. After a few short years there, she was forced to retire and leave her job due to complications from a stroke.

Lyn had a love for dance. She began dancing as a little girl when she took dance lessons from Me-Me's school of dance. Although that was ballet and tap, her true love was two step, line dancing, and swing. Other hobbies included, bowling, playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Lyn is proceeded in death by her Mother, Flora May Hartness, her father Llyod Hartness, her sister Marsa Black, and her brother Don Hartness.

Lyn is survived by her Ex-husband Calvin Ashlock, her daughters Kimberly Lyn Ashlock-Jellison and Amy Annise Ashlock-Etter, her grandchildren, Hunter Etter, Kolby Baxter, Nevaeh Ashlock, Jess Jellison, and her great grandchildren Cooper Jellison, Blaikley Etter, and Ridge Etter.

Lyn's family will receive friends on Thursday, February 27th from 6-8 p.m., at the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory - Walker Brown Chapel, 918-333-7665, 4201 Nowata Rd, Bartlesville. Visitation will also be held on Thursday from 11-8.

Services will be held on Friday, at 10 a.m., February 28, 2025, at the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory - Walker Brown Chapel. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory - Walker Brown Chapel.
