Robert Joe Leach, 60, went to be with his heavenly Father on Monday, December 13, 2010 surrounded by his loving family in Tulsa.

Robert was born August 23, 1950 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Dave and Bessie (Pickup) Leach. He served in the United States Army and was in Vietnam. Robert received the national defense service medal, Vietnam service medal and the Vietnam campaign medal. Robert spent his life working as a carpenter and enjoying his family and church family. Robert was a member and served as a deacon at the Matoaka Baptist Church in Ochelata, Oklahoma. Robert had a deep love for all of his cherished friends at the Matoaka Church.

He is survived by his beloved family; wife: Linda Jo (Trottingwolf) Leach of the home; children: David Ray (Wahnee), Timothy Scott (Beverly), Cassandra Renee (John) and Robert Joe "BJ" (Vicky). Grandchildren: Casey, Courtney, Nicole, Kane, Lauren, Kiera, Evan, Chelcie, Jarrod, Rachel and Cally. Robert is also survived by his loving mother: Bessie Leach; brothers: Dave Leach, Sampson, Harlan, Richard and Danny; sisters: Mina and Loretta.

Robert is preceded in death by his father: Dave Leach, mother and father in-law Ed and Rachel Trottingwolf, two brothers: George and Charlie and one grandson: Cody.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 16, 2010 from 6-8pm at Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville.

Viewing will be Wednesday, December 15, 2010 from 3-9pm and Thursday from 9am-9pm.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Friday, December 17, 2010 at the Matoaka Baptist Church with burial to follow at the Matoaka Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Matoaka Baptist Church Building Fund.
