BARTLESVILLE, WASHINGTON CO, OK
(permission granted)

Patty J. Reese, age 84 and longtime resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017.

Patty Joann Austin was born on October 21, 1932 in Bartlesville. She was the daughter of Thomas Clarence Austin and Elmira Dice (Utterback) Austin. She was a 1950 graduate of College High School in Bartlesville.
In 1952, Patty and E. R. "Dick" Reese were united in marriage. They were married for 59 years prior to his death on August 3, 2011.
Patty was employed with the TRW Reda Pump Co., Bartlesville (currently Schlumberger). All but a couple of years when she had a short residency in Chicago (1952-1954) were spent at the Bartlesville location. She retired in 1990 and had continued to make her home in Bartlesville.
After retirement, Patty and Dick were very active in traveling; scuba diving, motorcycling and many other activities. She was not afraid to try anything and never let the danger bother her. She was also devoted to her family and loved every minute spent with them.
Patty lived a Christian life, always helping others. She was a devoted member of the Matoaka Baptist Church where she spent countless hours volunteering her time in any area, as well as preparing food and supervising the food preparation for the many funeral services and other functions of the church. In fact, she was very active in these endeavors up to just weeks before her death.

Patty is survived by her son, Tim Reese and his wife, Jeanette, of Waynesboro, Georgia; her daughter, Cheryl Wheeler of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her son, Mike Reese and his wife, Lisa, of Noel, Missouri; grandchildren, Sam Wheeler and his wife, Mallary, of Tulsa, Ben Reese, Seth Reese and Kayla Reese, all of Noel; and one great-granddaughter, Londynn Rose Wheeler of Tulsa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dick; grandson, Justin Reese; granddaughter, Jessica Reese; and brother, Thomas Austin.

Memorial gifts may be made in Patty's memory to the Matoaka Baptist Church, 24660 N. 3940 Rd., Ochelata, OK 74051.

Visitation will be on Thursday and Friday from 9:00 AM-8:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, 710 S. Dewey Ave. Family will be present to greet friends on Friday from 4:00-6:00 PM.

Services for Patty will be held on Saturday, September 2nd, at 10:00 AM in the Matoaka Baptist Church. Pastor Sherman Jacques will officiate.

Interment will follow the service in the Dewey City Cemetery beside her late husband, Dick.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home.
