Ronald Curtis Powell, Jr., of Dewey, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, in Dewey.

Ronnie was born November 16, 1968, in Bartlesville, to Ronald Curtis and Judy Faye (Lowe) Powell. He attended Dewey Public Schools and in his teenage years started working at McDuffy's Restaurant. He later worked as a mason for Randy Herren and then as a heavy machine operator for Coast Construction. In his 20s, Ronnie joined CC Company and Urban Haus as a carpenter, working with Wayne Callaghan, who he loved like a brother. He stayed with Urban Haus until his health no longer allowed him to work.

In 1993, Sandra Artherton, the love of Ronnie's life, gave birth to his son Garrett and Ronnie was thrilled. Garrett was Ronnie's whole world, and they shared many happy memories together. Eventually Garrett joined Ronnie in working for Urban Haus.

There were two things Ronnie dreamed of owning in this life, a '68 Camaro and a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Ronnie worked hard to achieve one of those goals and he absolutely loved his Harley. His hobbies included going to the casino, listening to loud music, and having a drink. He enjoyed tinkering and was known to be able to make things become like new again. He also enjoyed attending car shows and demolition derbies.

Ronnie was witty and generous, always willing to help anyone in need. He was a good man. During his battle with cancer, he built a relationship with Jesus, who he accepted as his Lord and Savior with the help of his granddaughter Evie and uncle Lawrence.

Ronnie had a special bond with each of his family members. He loved spending time with them, especially his grandchildren, Evie and Greyson.

Survivors include his mother, Judy (Lowe) (Powell) Greenwood; his son, Garrett Powell; his twin sister, Rhonda Armstrong and her husband Dusty; sisters, Christel Crawford and husband Gordon, Rita Powell, step-sister Susan Cruise and husband Shad, two grandchildren, Evie and Greyson Powell; his chihuahua, Bo; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his fathers, Ronnie Curtis Powell Sr., and Gary Greenwood; and his best friend, Wayne Callaghan.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2025, at Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory - Walker Brown Chapel, 4201 Nowata Road, Bartlesville, OK 74006, 918-333-7665. Inurnment will be held at Dewey Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Carter Davis and Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory - Walker Brown Chapel.
