James J. Eden passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, in his home in Dewey, Oklahoma at the age of 79.

James was born to Cecil Eden and Lucille Stewart on October 11, 1941, in Pumpkin Holler, Oklahoma.
On December 23, 1969, James married the love of his life, Marie A Hoheisel. They have lived in Dewey for over 20 years. James worked as a technician for Reda Pump until 1993. He loved to spend his time watching livestock auctions, fishing, and hunting, he also had a passion for horses. He truly loved everything about the outdoors and being around his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father Cecil Eden, his mother Lucille Stewart, three sisters, and several aunts and uncles.

James is survived by his wife Marie, two daughters: Mary Saddoris, and Tammy Melton and her husband Mike, son Johney Eden and wife Delania, his brother Charles Eden and wife Audrey, his brother Glin Eded and his wife Sharon, five grandsons: Joshua, Jason, Michael, Chris, and Anthony, five granddaughters: Lecy, Justyne, Jae, Alana, and Leah, and 14 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making memorial donations to St. Jude.
