Thomas, Patty Ann, 77, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in Tulsa, OK.

Life began for Patty Ann Stevens on January 6, 1937, in Wickliffe, KY. She was the daughter of Paul and Anna (Robinson) Stevens. Patty and her brother, James, lived out in the country near Wickliffe until Patty was about five years old. The family moved to Tulsa, OK. Patty went through grade school, junior high and high school in Tulsa, graduating from Will Rogers High School in 1956.
While in high school she started attending Sheridan Avenue Methodist Church, where David Thomas was serving as a Youth Director. The night before her graduation David gave her an engagement ring. On August 31, 1956, she and David were married at the Sheridan Avenue Methodist Church in Tulsa, and she moved into the parsonage of the St. Marks Methodist Church in Oklahoma City where David was serving as pastor. They then moved to Jones, Ok and served at the Methodist Church, during that time she gave birth to their son, Charles David (Chuck).
During their first year in Seminary, Patty gave birth to their daughter, Penny Ann (now Penny Stockman). Upon graduation from Seminary, David was appointed as pastor of the newly organized Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Tulsa, OK. In retirement they served in the Senior Adult Ministry at Asbury United Methodist Church.
Patty and David's son, Chuck and his wife, DeAnna have three children, Matthew, Lindsey and Spencer Thomas, and their son Matthew and his wife, Teresa have two daughters, Mia and Madison Thomas. Their daughter Penny and her husband, Danny Stockman, have one precious Maltese named Bella.
Patty had a contagious personality that enabled her to develop close friendships everywhere they served. She maintained those friendships all through her life. She loved to serve and always found her place of ministry wherever they were, especially in those years of retirement.
