Cecil Jacob Johnston
March 8, 1939 - August 22, 2025

Cecil Jacob Johnston of Oologah, OK passed away on August 22, 2025, in Tulsa surrounded by family. The son of R.L. and Valentine Belle (Fagg) Johnston, Cecil was born on March 8, 1939, in Grainola, OK. He was a graduate of Talala High School where he was a member of the basketball team. Cecil was a lifelong farmer. He ran a dairy for many years as well as raising and processing beef cattle and hay. Cecil was a knowledgeable person. Especially in regard to real estate, construction and mechanical repair.

His love for his family was known by all. He was so excited to have his family visit weekly for Sunday Dinner.

Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 31 years, Lois Maxine (Horner) Johnston; his grandson, Jacob Glenn Johnston; brothers, Kenneth, Leo, Tom, Ross and Joe; his sisters, Mavis, Dorothy, and Leanna.

Cecil is survived by his wife of 34 years, Nell (Moore) Johnston; sister Roberta "Dolly" Minor and husband Ray; sister-in-law, Wilma Johnston; daughters, Glenda Gale Riley and Robin Lea Stanton and husband Duane; son, Cecil Douglas Johnston; stepdaughters, Leslie Simmons and husband Richie and Janell Lawrence and husband Rick; Grandchildren, Mandy Buell and husband Herb, Alisha McKinney, Erin Parks and husband Tony, Blake Riley, Jeremy Stanton and wife Tamara, Josh Johnston and wife Amber, Samantha Kelley and husband Jake, Logan Stanton, Gabby Johnston, Tyler Lawrence, Alec Lawrence, Tristan Lawrence, Isabelle Lawrence, Eli Davis, Hermon Blacksmith, Hope Davis, and Grace Simmons; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be 2pm-8pm, Monday, August 25, 2025, at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home. The family will be present to receive guests from 5pm-7pm.

Funeral Services will be 2pm, Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Eastside Baptist Church in Collinsville with Pastor Michael Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery.
