Lester William Alcorn of Collinsville passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020 at the age of 89.  

Visitation for Lester will be Friday, March 13, 2020 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Meadowcreek United Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Whitley officiating.

Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

Lester was born on October 29, 1930 in Braman, OK to Lloyd and Cleo (Bridges) Alcorn. He served his country in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955. Lester married Donna J. Winters in Winfield, KS on November 6, 1953 and they were married for 66 years. Lester worked as a barber for a time, but having lived in Collinsville for 65 years, most people knew him as the owner of Alcorn Plumbing and Appliance.

Lester is survived by his wife, Donna Alcorn of the home; His children Loren Alcorn and Dana Smith; his siblings, Millie McGowan, Donald Alcorn, Ruby Self, and Dale Alcorn; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

His parents, 2 brothers and a sister preceded Lester in death.
