Thelma D. Lewis passed away on November 16, 2025, in Collinsville. She was born on April 17, 1935, in Mountain View, Missouri, to Lloyd Trowbridge and Ella Elsie Ann Fisher Trowbridge, both of whom precede her in death.
Thelma is survived by her beloved family, including her sons David Lewis and his wife Leona of Oakhurst, OK, and Johnny Lewis and his wife Gloria of Claremore, OK. She is also cherished by her daughter Angela Nimmo and her husband John of Mounds, OK, James Hogan and wife Vicki of Oologah, OK, and Lloyd Grogan and wife Tina of Fairfax, OK. In addition to her immediate family, Thelma was a proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 25 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Throughout her life, Thelma exemplified strength and faith, often finding solace in her favorite verse, "The Lord is my shepherd" from Psalm 23:1. Her legacy of love and devotion to her family will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
