Glenn W. Goodrich, 80, of Bartlesville, passed away on Wednesday, June 6th, after suffering a spinal cord injury in an automobile accident. Glenn, a man of long-term Christian service, lived a full life and was loved by family and friends. The youngest of four children born in Tulsa, OK to BC and Clytie Goodrich on December 29, 1937, he attended Lowell Junior High School and graduated from Tulsa's Central High School in 1956. During his early school years, because students were seated alphabetically, he sat by Zola Goins. She accompanied Glenn on the piano when he sang for school programs. They fell in love and were married on August 24, 1958.
Glenn attended the University of Tulsa and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 1960 with a 4.0 in his major. Glenn and Zola made their home in Bartlesville, where Glenn started working at Phillips Petroleum Company in 1963. Glenn had an incredible career in computing and his positions led the family to live in Borger, TX, Albuquerque, NM, and Littleton, CO, but Bartlesville was always home. After over 33 years of service, Glenn retired from Phillips as the Director, Information Services.
He was an active member of First Baptist Church Bartlesville who sang in the choir and ensembles for years, was an ordained deacon, and a long-time member of the men's Sunday school class. Throughout his life he sang in several Southern Gospel Quartets and had a passion for music and for sharing his love of Jesus and personal salvation. He was a competitive athlete and enjoyed playing basketball and softball into adulthood, coaching many teams along the way. He won many MVP awards and enjoyed the camaraderie of sports. He loved his family deeply and was an incredible father. After a faithful marriage of 43 years, his beautiful wife Zola preceded him in death on March 11, 2002. Glenn continued to embrace life and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Cruises were a favorite past time, and he travelled all over the world with his sister Nadine and with his close friend Della Thompson.

Glenn is survived by his son Glenn Goodrich Jr and his wife Jaye of Rockwall, TX; his daughter Ellen Miller and her husband Craig of Quakertown, PA; grandchildren Ashley Goodrich, Glenn Goodrich III, Mason Miller, and Morgan Miller; a sister Melba Seeley of Catoosa, OK, a sister Nadine Gregory of McKinney, TX, a niece and several nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Zola, his sister Virginia Ruth Harris, and two nephews.

Flowers or memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, 405 S Cherokee Ave, Bartlesville, OK 74003.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, at the First Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Tulsa Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Walker Brown Funeral Home.

Online condolences and remembrances may be shared at www.WalkerBrownFuneralHome.com.
