Bobbie Jane Smart, 75, passed away Wednesday morning, January 18, 2023 at the Integris Baptist Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City.
The daughter of Eugene Sylvester and Bessie Laurene (Wilson) Hampton, Bobbie was born March 13, 1947 in Little River, Arkansas. She was raised and attended school in Ashdown, Arkansas.
Bobbie moved to Guymon from Bradley, Arkansas in 1964. She was united in marriage to Jerry Lee Smart of Hardesty on August 1, 1970 at Guymon. Jerry preceded her in death on March 15, 2016. She had worked as a salad maker in the kitchen at the Elk’s Club for several years. Bobbie was a member of the Guymon First Assembly of God and had lived in Oklahoma City for the past few years, to be near her sister.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Anthony Wayne Wagoner, her parents and four brothers: Lesley, Odell, Odean and Tim Hampton.
Survivors include her son, Jessie Lymon Wagoner and his children of Ann Arbor, Michigan and her sister, Martha Lewis and husband, Gayle of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, along with other extended family.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday afternoon, January 20th at 1:00 p.m. at the Range Cemetery, east of Hardesty. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
