Juanita Hierro

Juanita Hierro, 74, of Guymon passed away Tuesday morning, March 15, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of Maria Felix and Gregorio Hernandez, Juanita was born June 24, 1947 in Chihuahua, Mexico. She was united in marriage to Agustin Hierro in 1971 in Chihuahua, Mexico. The Hierro family moved to Guymon in 1978 from Chihuahua. Agustin preceded her in death on February 5, 1986.
Juanita was a homemaker and had worked at Mah’s Restaurant and Guymon Public Schools. She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. She loved spending time with family and watching her grandchildren in their activities.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, and two brothers-in-law, Jose and Socorro Hierro.
Survivors include her four daughters: Maria Socorro Hierro of Guymon, Claudia Veronica Vargas and husband, Albert of Guymon, Maria Guadalupe Nash and husband, Carter of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Martha Aviles and husband, Jose of Guymon; twelve grandchildren: Nicholas, Leslie, Guillermo “Memo”, Carter, Jazmin, Jose Luis, Alyson, Sebastian, Evelyn, Albert Agustin, Cedric and Catalina; six great grandchildren: Juan Carlos, Julian, Daniel, Rosabella, Sofie and Jeriel; two brothers, Pedro Hernandez and wife, Laura and Aurelio Hernandez and wife, Gloria, all of Mexico and one sister-in-law, Eva Hierro of Guymon; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be recited Thursday, March 17th at 6:00 p.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Chapel. Funeral mass will be Friday, March 18th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with Father Christopher Brashears, celebrant. Interment will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery.
