Ted Worley

Ted A. Worley, age 76 of Tecumseh, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018. Ted was born May 4, 1941in Pauls Valley, the youngest of 2 sons born to Sam and Laura (Rosenbaum) Worley. He was raised in Okla. City and attended school there, graduating from Capitol Hill High School. In August of 1961, Ted answered the call to service and joined the United States Navy. Ted mainly worked in maintenance throughout his life. He retired from Wilson Foods Co. in Okla. City. On May 3, 1991 in Las Vegas, NV, Ted married his best friend and life partner, Marie Davis, and they made their home in Tecumseh. When not working, Ted enjoyed a day of fishing and was always up for round of golf. He enjoyed traveling and seeing new things, and started every day by reading the Daily Oklahoman from cover to cover. He was an avid sports fan and loved all things OU. For several years, Ted was the sole caregiver for his mother as her health declined. He was proud of his Native heritage and a member of the Chickasaw Nation. But wherever he was, Ted was the life of the party, and a big kid at heart, and he kept life fun. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, brother, uncle and a true friend. He was preceded in death by: His son, Ted Yankey and His parents, Sam and Laura Worley. Ted is survived by: His wife, Marie of the home; Children, Jackie Worley of Norman, Toni Pyle of Newcastle, Shane Davis of Okla. City and Ricky Worley of Okla. City and Angela Murray of Florida; Brother, Bob Worley and wife Judy of Joplin, MO; 4 grandchildren, Ricki Lynn Dillard of Moore, Andrew Barber of Norman, Tyler Pyle and Seth Pyle, both of Norman and A host of other family and friends. Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 12, 2018, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Marlow Cemetery.
