Eudell Z. Norwood Prather

July 12, 1924 - March 15, 2007

Eudell Z. Prather, 82, Friona, Texas, former Marlow resident, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2007 in Friona, TX.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 17, 2007, in the Marlow Cemetery with Dr. Joe Ligon officiating. Services were under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Eudell was born Saturday, July 12, 1924 in Danville, AR to William Thomas and Susan Agnes (Hunt) Norwood. Eudell graduated in 1942 from Friends High School near Chickasha. She married Riley Thomas Prather on Feb. 19, 1944 in Chickasha, OK. They lived in California for many years, where she worked as a bookkeeper for I. Magnin. They later moved to Marlow, where they lived for 25 years. On Aug. 2, 1984, her husband, Riley passed away. In March of 1999, Eudell moved to Canyon, TX to be closer to her family. Eudell enjoyed reading and listening to gospel music. She was a wonderful cook and was very meticulous in her appearance. Eudell had a great sense of humor, was mischievous and sometimes a bit stuborn. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marlow.
Survivors include, Glenda Wilkerson of Canyon, TX; Suzan Norwood of Canyon, TX; Rebecca Goebel of Abernathy, TX; Bettie Roberson of Lakewood, CO; Sandy Hillary of Fallon, NV; Numerous other Nieces, Nephews & Cousins.
She was preceded in death by her Husband; Parents; Brothers, William Urban Norwood and Bryce Lawton Norwood.
