Gordon Keith Bruner

Gordon Keith Bruner passed away at home Thursday night, December 5, 2002, after a brief illness. He was born October 21, 1933, in Chico, TX, to S. B. and Letha Bruner.

Funeral services are scheduled from Monday, December 9, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. at Granthan Funeral Home with Ron Stough officiating. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche.

A 1952 graduate of Apache High School, he married Molly Alice James on October 16, 1952, in Chickasha, OK. Mr. Bruner served in the Pacific during the Korean conflict as a member of the U.S. Navy. He was a Radioman First Class aboard the U.S.S. Taussig.

In 1954, Mr. Bruner began employment at Halliburton Services in Duncan. Hired by Earl P. Halliburton, he began work in the Machine Shop, and transferred to Data Processing 1962. He served the company for 31 years.

After retirement in 1985, Mr. Bruner continued operation of two business with his wife, Molly: The Two Bees, a jewelry store in Duncan, and Willow Point Farms, of Comanche.

Mr. Bruner is survived by his wife of 50 years, Molly, and two sisters and a brother: Billie Faye Carter of Frederick, OK, Lloyd Bruner of Cleburne, TX, and Ovella McKinney of Irving, TX. He is also survived by three children and their spouses, Ron and Ann Bruner of Hollis, OK, Bill and Nelda Bruner of Oklahoma City, OK, and Preston and Lea Ann Gatewood of Houston, TX.

Mr. Bruner has twelve grandchildren: Ben and Tara Bruner of Edmond, OK; Lauran and Bailey Bruner of Hollis, OK; Kerry, Andrea, Zach, Caleb, Joshua and Jonathan Bruner of Oklahoma City, OK; Nathan and Lindsey Gatewood of Houston, TX.

Memorial contributions may be made to Westview Boys' Home of Hollis, OK, or Chisholm Trail Hospice.
