Charles C. Younts

Charles C. Younts, 61, of Duncan died Monday, June 2, 2003, in Duncan.

Service was to be at 10 a.m. today in Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Jackson officiating. Burial was to be in Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

Charles was born March 2, 1942, in Duncan, to Charles and Myrtie Rodgers Younts.

He married Rose Mary Perkins in June 1968 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Mr. Younts worked for the United States Postal Service. He retired as a letter carrier from the Comanche Post Office. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Charles David Younts of Duncan; three step sons, Johnny McKee, Sam McKee and Jim McKee, all of Duncan; a daughter, Terri Mitchell of Duncan; three brothers, Melvin Younts and Ronnie Younts, both of Duncan, and Bobby Younts of Louisiana; four sisters, Marie Younts of Duncan, Lisa Younts of Lawton and Sharon Vandever and Paula Walker, both of Ada; 7 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Bearers were to be the men from Bible Baptist Church.
