Leroy "Bus" Youngblood

Leroy "Bus" Youngblood, 85, of Duncan died Tuesday, May 13, 2003, in Wilkins Nursing Center.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Bethesda Church of God with the Rev. Harold Metheny officiating and the Rev. Dean Hall assisting. Burial will be in Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

The family will receive visitors from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Leroy was born Jan. 17, 1918, in Duncan, to Andrew and Effie Johnson Youngblood.

He married Lovella Sellers on Aug. 31, 1940, in Duncan. She preceded him in death in 1995.

Mr. Youngblood was a Brickmason and Stonemason in Duncan for years. He was a member of Bethesda Church of God.

Survivors include three sons, J.L. Youngblood Jr. of Duncan, Cecil Ray Youngblood of Orrtanna, Penn., and Billy Joe Youngblood of San Antonio, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Freda and Dean Hall and Pat and Cecil Mangum, all of Duncan; two brothers, Johnny Youngblood of Moore and L.V. Youngblood of Weatherford, Texas; a sister, Opal Pauline Davis of Duncan; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren

He was also preceded in death by a son, George Youngblood.

Bearers will be Robert Mangum, Kelvin Hall, Godfrey Riles, Glen Youngblood, Bill Huff and Kenny Hillin.
