Opal Mae Young, 92 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma died Friday, February 5, 2016 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.

She was born June 20, 1923 in McKey community, Oklahoma, the daughter of Minnie Towery Holt and Joe Holt. She was married to Robert George Young on October 17, 1942 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1986 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Mrs. Young was retired vice president of National Bank of Sallisaw, Ok and a baptist.

Survivors are:2 sons and daughters in law: Gary and Dorothy Young of McKey, OK
and Glen and Pam Young of McKey, OK

4 grandchildren: Richard Young of Ft. Smith, AR, Holly Cain of Broken Arrow, OK,
Mindy Frederick of McKey, OK and Robert Young of McKey, OK

9 great grandchildren

1 brother: John Holt of Sallisaw, OK

numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends

She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 sisters: Ruby Powers, Rachel Brooks and Betty Lasswell and 2 brothers: Jim and Bill Holt and her parents

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, OK.

Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Ted Holt, Jim Ed Holt, Carl Holt, Andy Lasswell, Gary Young and Glen Young.

Viewing will be 10 am - 8 pm Saturday and 2 - 8 pm Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
