Mrs. Margaret A. Wilson was born October 15, 1902, near Clarksville, the daughter of Mr. Daniel Jordan Matthews and Mrs. Sarah Emmaline Roberts Matthews.

Mrs. Wilson graduated from Sallisaw High School in 1920 and received her bachelor of science degree and master's degree from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. Oklahoma. She was married to Mr. Fred B. Wilson on August 23, 1923, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1976, in Sallisaw. She was a teacher at Liberty Grade School for 46 years and was Teacher of the Year in Sequoyah County in 1960. She was a member of the O.E.A., N.E.A., and the Sequoyah County Retired Teachers Association and a longtime member of the First Christian Church in Sallisaw.

She passed this life on Sunday October 31, 2004, in Sallisaw after attaining the age of 102 years and 16 days.

She leaves to mourn her passing a sister, a sister-in-law, three nieces, six nephews, several great and gret-great-nieces (sic) and nephews.

Funeral services was held Friday at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church in Sallisaw with Dr. Lee Woodard and the Rev. James O'Briant officiating.

Burial was followed at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
