Byrd was born on October 7, 1930, in Muldrow, Oklahoma, to Allie Lena (Faulkner)
Wilson and Finnie Wilson, and passed away on September 23, 2026, in Vian,

shared more than 36 years of marriage until her passing on January 2, 1991.
Byrd proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Throughout his working years, he worked as a construction engineer for E.E.
Barber, owned and operated his own bridge-building company, Big Eagle Bridge
Company, and later served as Chief Financial Officer for Southwest Home Health
Care.
After retiring at the age of 83, Byrd devoted himself to caring for his beloved
wife, Billie, during her battle with cancer. His love and devotion to her were a
beautiful reflection of the kind of man he was.
Above all, Byrd was a devoted father and a truly giving person. His children all
described him as the most wonderful dad they could ever have. He had a generous
heart and was always willing to give of himself to others. His kindness, love,
and unwavering devotion to his family will remain a lasting part of the lives of
all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Marlene Elrod of Lake Tenkiller,
OK, and Rhonda Keith of Muldrow, OK; one son, Gregory Byrd Wilson of Roland, OK;
