Toots Mae Asbill, daughter of William Payne and Lillie (Honeycutt) Asbill, was born on May 3, 1918 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Stilwell Nursing Home at the age of 95 years, 8 months and 17 days.
She was married to Ellis Asbill on April 4, 1937. Ellis and Toots were blessed with two sons, Doyle and Floyd. Toots cherished her family and enjoyed working in her garden and flowers until her health would no longer permit it.
She also enjoyed taking care of her dogs, cats and chickens. She enjoyed life to the fullest and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ellis Asbill, one son, Doyle Asbill, two sisters, Pauline Mays and Sarah Brannon, two brothers, Lionel Payne and Gene Payne and numerous half brothers and sisters.
She is survived by a very loving family that includes her son, Floyd Asbill of Stilwell, one daughter-in-law, Sue Asbill of Bunch, grandsons, Ted Asbill and wife Twonnia of Bunch, Luke Asbill of Ft Smith, AR, granddaughters, Annetta Scott and husband Tim of Bunch, Connie Asbill of Stilwell, Adraine Farr and husband Elbert of Stewartsville, MO, great grandsons, Derick Scott of Bunch, Derek and Cory Farr of Stewartsville, MO, great granddaughters, Tiffany Turner and husband Bryan of Collinsville, Tedi Jean Elms and husband Josh of Bunch, Stephanie Farr of Stewartsville, MO, Linlee and Laynee Asbill of Ft Smith, AR, great great grandchildren, Sydney, Shyloh and Jonathon Turner, Tanner and Logan Elms and Zyler Mendez. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends also survive her.
Funeral services at 10 am on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Max Ford and Ronnie Ford officiating. Interment followed at Northview Cemetery, Sallisaw, OK.
