Ruby Marie Sanders, daughter of Ruben Vanderheiden and Jeanie Cookinghead, was born November 27, 1930, in Bunch, Oklahoma. She passed from this life September 7, 2013, at the Stilwell Nursing Home, at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 11 days.

Ruby was a wonderful wife, caring mother and a very loving, sweet grandmother. She loved all of her family deeply and cherished time spent with them. Ruby was a member of Four Visions Baptist Church where she loved serving the Lord. She loved going to gospel singings and singing in Cherokee. In her spare time, she would bake pies to help with benefits and cook dinners for her family. Ruby had three loves in life, first was serving the Lord, loving her grandchildren and shopping for shoes. Her favorite things to do were fishing and yard saling when she was able.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Sanders, her parents, Ruben and Jeanie Vanderheiden, an infant child, Baby Girl Fourkiller, one granddaughter, Candice Jade and a half brother, Jack Bigfeather.

Her surviving family includes, her children, Rhonda Flynn, Janice Shell and husband, Terry, Jackie Sanders, Jack Sanders, Jr. and wife, Benita, Donald Fourkiller, Lucille Fourkiller and Marcie Fourkiller, all of Stilwell, Robert Fourkiller and wife, Alice, of Van Buren, AR and 13 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 12, 2013, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Muskrat and Bro. Gary Leach officiating. Interment will follow at Flute Springs Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
