Margie Sue Sorrell was born January 22, 1924, to Houston and Nancy Duncan Thomas in Seminole, Oklahoma. She passed away at the age of 89 on May 7, 2013.
Margie was a member of the Wolf Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to thrift stores and garage sales. Margie loved to find a bargain. She also enjoyed going to the lake, camping, sleeping out under the stars, watching westerns, especially John Wayne and McClintock. Margie enjoyed picking poke salad, dock and dandy lions and cooking it for her friends. She was a homemaker most of her working career and enjoyed driving around in her car.
Most of all, Margie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Curtis Sorrell, and her daughter, Judy Rogers. She is survived by her son, Gary Sorrell of Elgin, OK; two sisters, Argie Reddout of Oklahoma City and Edna Lawson of Wolf, OK; 4 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at John M. Ireland Funeral Home Chapel, Moore, OK. Interment to follow at Wolf Cemetery, Wolf, OK. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland.
