Funeral Services for Charles R. McCutcheon, 78, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Harold Ware will Officiate. Burial will follow at the Vamoosa Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct full military honors at the cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. McCutcheon died Monday, February 2, 2015 at a Davis nursing home. He was born January 31, 1937 in Francis to Turhman and Pauline Davis McCutcheon. He graduated from Ada High School and served in the United States Air Force.

He married Betty Moore on August 22, 1981 in Ada. Charles worked for Luton Electric in Ada for over 30 years and retired in 1999. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Diamond K Kiwanis, served as a little league coach and had served as secretary of a local archery club.

Survivors include his wife, Betty McCutcheon, of the home; three children, Jaye Laxton and her husband Dewayne of Ada, Lori Hunter and her husband Vance of Broken Arrow and Michael Whitson and his wife Gale of Ada; two sisters, Norma Jean Shirley of Oregon and Ann Rose Heath of Shreveport, LA; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Pearl McCutcheon.

Bearers will be Tyler Laxton, Brad Laxton, Randall Ross, Alan Waters, Vance Hunter and Dewayne Laxton; Honorary bearers will be Zach Factor and members of the Kingdom Seekers Sunday School Class.

The family has suggested St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; 501 St. Jude Place; Memphis, TN 38105, as appropriate for expressions of sympathy.
