Seminole resident Drew Evelyn Westerman Houck died Sunday at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was 79.
Mrs. Houck was born Aug. 29, 1918, in Dripping Springs, Ark., to the Rev. Andrew Marcus Laffette Westerman and Martha Lucrecia (Cheatwood) Westerman. She moved to Seminole from Malvern, Ark., 65 years ago.
She married Clifford Clinton Houck on Feb. 18, 1935, in Wewoka.
Mrs. Houck was a homemaker. She was a member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Clifford D. and Shirley Houck and Ken C. and June Houck, all of Seminole; one daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Glendon Garner of Maud; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1994; her parents; her grandson, Glen Don Garner; eight brothers and 10 sisters.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole with the Rev. Roy Robertson officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jim Kirkendall. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
