Funeral Services for Mrs. Floe Louise Caskey,89,of Tishomingo will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church with Rev.'s Steve Gniech and Ron Forrest officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Little Cemetery, north of Seminole, Oklahoma. Mrs. Caskey passed away on Wednesday,February 17th, at the Johnston Memorial Hospital.

Floe Louise Caskey was born on March 15, 1920 in Drumright, Oklahoma to Maywood L. Kirby and Elsie Mae Strain Kirby. She graduated from Seminole High School in 1938 and the University of Oklahoma Nursing School in 1942. She married Joseph W. Caskey on October 4, 1941 in Seminole and he preceded her in death in 1977. One son, Joe Bill Caskey was born to this union. After graduating from OU, she worked at Crippled Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City as a supervisor. She moved to Ardmore where she worked for Dr. W. R. Mate, Ophthalmologist, then to Tishomingo working at Murray State College Infirmary, Johnston Memorial Hospital as staff Nurse and later as Director of Nursing. Her final employment was at the Johnston County Health Department, retiring in December of 1985. She was a charter member of Holisso Study Club in 1946, serving as President in 1952. She was also a member of the Business & Professional Women’s Club, Election Precinct #1, County Red Cross Drive Coordinator, President of the Johnston County Hospital Auxiliary for 11 years and served on Murray State College Nursing Advisory Board, Head Start Advisory Board and Hospital Home Health Board. She attended the Drumright Methodist Church until 15 years of age when she joined the First Baptist Church of Seminole. She and husband Joe, moved their membership to the First Baptist Church of Tishomingo in 1946, where she taught Sunday School class, was Director of a Sunday School Department, Director of Training Union, member of Adult One Senior class, WMS, Church financial committee, VBS, taught weekly Sunday School class at Lawnview Nursing Home and held bible classes weekly at both nursing homes.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, a half-brother, and a sister.

Mrs. Caskey is survived by her son, Joe Bill & wife Debbie of Tishomingo; grandchildren, Jennifer & husband Matt Crosthwait of Stillwater, OK, Jeffrey Caskey of Keller, TX; great-grandchildren, Teegin, Ryne, and Lauren Crosthwait of Stillwater; one sister-in-law, Margaret Kirby of Sonoma, Wisconsin; one brother-in-law, Paul Caskey & wife Shirley of Adair, OK and beloved nieces, nephews and their families.

Memorials may be sent to Johnston Memorial Hospital or Tishomingo Public Schools.

Pallbearers for the service will be: Pat LaFevers, Kirk LaFevers, Scott Daniels, Chase Daneils, Blake Daniels and Bennie Lewis. Honorary Bearers will be Deacons of the First Baptist Church.
