Services for Dr. Milburn Wilson, 85, Ada, will be held Wednesday, April 5, at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Ada. Dr. Tim Eaton and his brother, Dr. Charles Wilson will officiate. His brother, Rev. Billy Wilson and his nephew, Artie Hudson, Jr., will officiate during Interment at the Dora Cemetery in Seminole County. The family will receive friends and relatives at Criswell Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 4, from 5:00–7:00 p.m.

Dr. Wilson passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023, in Oklahoma City. He was born May 18, 1937, in Cedar Grove to Rev. Muril and Jewel (Lee) Wilson. He attended Francis High School, where he received valedictorian honors in his graduating class of 6. He continued his studies at East Central University, Oklahoma Bible College, Central State University, Moody Bible Institute, and Baptist Christian University. All told, he holds 3 PhDs.

He married Leota Hudson on July 14, 1956, at Vamoosa Baptist Church. They combined their large extended families, with whom they enjoyed decades of fellowship, including many trips to the Illinois River. He loved fishing, hunting, and playing moon.

He pastored churches in Oklahoma and California and held a range of leadership positions in the Free Will Baptist denomination throughout his years of ministry. He then worked as a psychologist in Texas before retiring to his home state and county.

He is survived by two brothers, Rev. Billy Ray Wilson and wife Linda of Coalgate, Dr. Charles Wilson and wife Paulette of Sunnyvale, Texas; two sisters, Katie Louise Martin of Frederick, Mary Jo Johnson of Coalgate; two daughters, Pamela Thompson of Moore, Vicki Wilson of Ada; four grandsons, Michael Wilson of Ada and fiancé Sara Mikhail of Calgary, Alberta; Ryan Wilson and wife Emma of Oklahoma City, Benjamin Thompson of Moore, Jonathan Thompson of Moore; one step-grandson, Tharon Thompson and wife Andrea of Waco, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Muril and Jewel Mae Wilson, sister Barbara Gross, and grandson Matthew.

Bearers will be Billy Don Johnson, Marty Martin, Billy Wilson Jr., Chris Wilson, Johnny Gross, and Tharon Thompson. Honorary bearers are Scott Johnson, Chad Wilson, and Jeremy Wilson.
